Facebook Pages Manager iPhone app for New Zealand

Social media use continues to increase around the world as users connect with the various sites in a variety of ways, and mobile use now plays a big part in this. Today we have news of the Facebook Pages Manager iPhone app for New Zealand.

This brand new application only just launched by Facebook allows users to manage their Facebook Pages via their iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The social networking giant is labelling the new app as a way to “help you keep up with your Page and connect with your audience in one place”, and as iDownloadBlog are reporting users can now post new photos and updates to your Facebook Page, which was previously only possible by using the web interface.

Users will now be notified when there is any new activity on your Page as soon as it happens, and allows users to respond, post and comment as your Page. There is another handy option called the Page Insights feature, which allows users to examine logs and also learn about your audience. The Facebook Pages Manager app has just been released on the New Zealand App Store, but is expected to be eventually rolled out to other regions soon.

It is available as a free download and will work on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad running iOS 4.2 or later, but unfortunately at the moment there is no native iPad version available, and it would be nice if the app could be integrated with the Facebook iOS client.

So far though the application hasn’t received the best reviews from those that have already downloaded it, with some suggesting it’s rather buggy. Have you used the Facebook Pages Manager app?
