WWDC 2012 official app released with schedule & times

We are only a couple of weeks away now from this year’s WWDC event that will be taking place in San Francisco, and will begin on June 11th running until the 15th. We can now tell all you excited Apple fans out there that the official WWDC 2012 app has been released with the schedule and times.

The company has today launched the application for iOS users, and according to an article over at AppleInsider they have also posted the full conference schedule via its website. While it is not believed we will see any iPhone launch this year, there is some thought that the company will officially reveal iOS 6 for the first time, which may possibly give some hints to what the iPhone 5 will bring to the table.

Those that are attending the event can access the conference schedule and view session related resources. The application that is now available via the App Store is a free 5.3 megabyte download that has been designed to work on both the iPhone and iPad, and it has been designed to allow those going to WWDC to keep up to date while there.

Once signed into the application with the Apple ID that is linked to their WWDC ticket users will be able to see times, locations, detailed descriptions for sessions, special events, and labs. Users will also be able to filter the schedule by labs, tracks, sessions, or OS to easily find what they are looking for, and more.

The all important keynote speech that is likely to be led by CEO Tim Cook will take place as usual on the first day of the event, and will begin on Monday, June 11th at 10:00 am Pacific Time, which for those of you in the UK will be in the evening at 18:00 pm. Click here to download the app yourself.

Are you looking forward to WWDC 2012?
