Apple iPhone gains Ralph Lauren application

The Apple iPhone is obviously popular, virtually everyone wants one, and now fashion designer Ralph Lauren has joined the iPhone brigade by launching a free Apple iPhone application for iPhone users.

The Ralph Lauren iPhone app allows iPhoners to view highlights from the Fall 2008 runway show, iPhoners get to go behind the scenes to view the Backstage Pass gallery, locate stores around the world, take a peek at the Spring 2009 runway show, and view a short film “Portraits of a Collection,” which shows the artists at work.

Basically the Ralph Lauren app for iPhone is an optimised website turned app. Obviously the iPhoner can’t read those QR codes, which are featured in Ralph Lauren ads, and they can’t purchase from the shop, but maybe both these important features will come in future releases.
