BlackBerry Pearl Trackball Replacement on Offer from T-Mobile

As one knows when owning a smartphone for sometime with a trackball, things can tend to become a tad sticky, and sometimes said trackball needs replacing usually at a cost. However, according to an article over on tmonews, some BlackBerry owners can get a trackball replacement for free.

Apparently T-Mobile is running a program whereby owners of the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and BlackBerry Curve 8320 can gain a free replacement of their trackball.

So if you own one of the BlackBerry smartphones and have been experiencing trackball problems all you need to do is as of the 15th of February, visit your local T-Mobile retail store and they will replace the trackball free from charge.

Of course your BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry Curve much have been purchased from T-Mobile to take advantage of this offer, good to see T-Mobile saving their customers a little cash though.

Whatever you do, don't accept the advice, like I nearly did, that when the trackball stops responding.. replace the Blackberry!
The solution is EASY..There are a number of really useful videos on You Tube that show you how to remove the trackball, soak it or wipe it with alcohol (I used meths) and BINGO, it's absolutely as good as new..I couldn't believe it..just like having a new Blackberry!! Despite this I am considering buying a replacement pearl..but I don't really need one!! Hope this helps!!
