Reminiscent of 2008 Beijing the Water Cube Phone

Under: News, Other Mobile Phones Date: September 4th, 2008

Did you enjoy the Beijing 2008 Olympics Water Cube? Well if you fancy a slice of the Water Cube, the Chinese have pushed out a low end mobile phone which is supposed to evoke images of the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, or if you prefer…Water Cube.

The mobile phone has an exterior reminiscent to the Water Cube’s glowing bubble-wrap style architecture, which personally I think is quite an eyesore to put it mildly.

The Water Cube is said to pack tri-band GSM radio so not much use over in the states, and uses some sort of “3D interface” that probably doesn’t quite live up to its name.

How much? The Water Cube Phone will set you back $175 and is available in six colours.
