Google Earth iPhone: iPhones get something real hot

Under: Apple iPhone, News Date: October 27th, 2008

Google has altered their Google Earth geographical software for the Apple iPhone, which means the iPhoner will be able to tilt their Apple iPhone when viewing things such as mountain terrains, along with additional layers to their app.

These new additional layers are Panoramio and Wikipedia which are for geo-located high quality photos. Google Earth for the Apple iPhone is a small Webkit based browser that gives iPhoner’s specific info they click on.

When an iPhoner clicks the address of a building via the local search engine the Apple iPhone intercepts that command and pulls it up on the Google Maps app so the iPhoner gains directions instantly.
