The Samsung Cleo has just seen Canada, well now documentation at the FCC indicate that the Samsung Cleo mobile phone looks set to be hitting the United States on Verizon Wireless but with a designation of U440 rather than the much more appealing Cleo name.

The Verizon Wireless Samsung U440 is a stylish clamshell design reminiscent of the LG Lotus, with full QWERTY keyboard, internal and external displays, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth with A2DP, and apparently incorporates threaded SMS and expandable storage up to 8GB.

The Samsung U440/Cleo seems to have been designed in a makeup compact style for the ladies and should be at home in any purse or pocket.
