Well, this should lead to some interesting wrangles concerning future touchscreen mobile phones. The multi-touch battle between Apple and Palm may have just fallen to Apple’s side of things.
Apple accused Palm of ripping off the Apple iPhone IP with the Palm Pre, Palm answered with denial and so what, Apple fires their big gun and bang, Apple owns the multi-touch patent.
So assuming Palm can’t work round the patent infringement or have it overturned the best scenario is for Palm to fork over a substantial amount of cash for license from Apple.
So does this mean the death of the Palm Pre before its out of the starting block?
