Verizon offer data sharing opt out to customers

Under: Mobile Phones, News Date: March 9th, 2009

Verizon now allows their customers to opt out of them sharing their carrier related data with their agents and affiliates, which should be a step in the right direction to securing customers privacy a bit further.

The word is Verizon Wireless is sending out letters to customers that give 45 days upon receipt of the letter to opt out of the Verizon info sharing scheme.

Or if you want to make sure Verizon take you off the data sharing list give Verizon a call; I would say go to the Verizon website but it appears the option to opt out is currently unavailable.
