Mobile phone applications seem to be bigger business than actual mobile phones these days, and just about everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and opening their own application store.

The latest to enter the craziness is Verizon Wireless who announced at CTIA 2009, their “Mobile Web Games and App Store” according to the guys over at Intomoble.

The Verizon “Mobile Web Games and App Store” will work across multiple platforms supported by Verizon, but very little detail is available at the moment other than the App Store will feature an “easy-to-navigate menu” and “cool graphics” and users will be able to preview, sample and order games and apps.
