Samsung OmniaHD is now Samsung i8910

Under: Samsung
Date: April 8th, 2009

The Samsung OmniaHD smartphone you’ve probably heard of it, well apparently Samsung has had enough of the OmniaHD name and according to MobileCrunch, has decided to give the OmniaHD handle the order of the boot.

Actually the Samsung OmniaHD has always been the Samsung OmniaHD i8910, so now Samsung just want the handset called the Samsung i8910 due to Samsung wanting to keep the Omnia branding tied with Windows Mobile, and the i8910 is Symbian.

Nothing else gets dumped though; the Samsung OmniaHD sorry, i8910, still packs a 3.7 inch QHD AMOLED touchscreen, HD video recording, 3G data connection, and 8 megapixel camera.
