During CTIA a Nokia spokesperson appears to have made a blunder in the sales area as he told the world Nokia had sold 13 million Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handsets.

However, according to a report over at techradar, a Nokia Tweet conversation actually reveals the truth but wasn’t in time to halt the blunder multiplying over the net waves.

When you look at the figures fr the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the handset sold 1 million by January, so stating the 5800 then went on to sell a further 12 million over the following 2 months is kind of stretching it a bit to say the least. The actual figure from Nokia is that the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic has reached 13 million since public launch back in 2007.
