At the initial launch of the Google Android platform it was missing one huge feature and that feature was proper widget extensibility, basically what was on the Android home screen when you got it was what you got.

However, according to android-developers, widget extensibility is an addition in Android 1.5 and they detail exactly how it will all come about.

Basically it looks as if the developers have total control with the ability to tweak widget update intervals along with appearance. As a T-Mobile G1 owner this new action simply can’t come quick enough as I’m sure most other G1 owners will say the same.
