As an apology for a nationwide service blackout last week, T-Mobile offered free text messaging on Sunday, and apparently customers took full advantage of that offer according to thelocal.de.
Apparently T-Mobile customers hit T-Mobile for some 85 million text messages which is a record high for a single day reported T-Mobile on Monday.
Last Tuesday’s nationwide blackout affected many of T-Mobile’s 39 million customers between 4 and 8pm and disrupted wireless, data services and SMS. T-Mobile says the problem probably occurred due to software problems with their Home Location Register servers.
