The SH7370, a SH-MobileHDI app processor for mobile phones has been announced by Renesas Technology Corp according to a report on techon, and is claimed to be the 1st full HD video recording and playback support in the industry.

The SH7370 supports the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video compression standard at full HD resolution at 30fps. And features 2 24bit dedicated audio DSPs with 1 handling audio processing such as AAC, and the other handling sonic enhancement.

The app processor and 512Mbits of synchronous DRAM are integrated into one package as a system-in-package for system compactness and is available in 10 x 11mm 407-lead BGA package.
