Apple has now rolled out its newest version of iTunes, iTunes 8.2., and this new update brings with it support for iPhone OS 3.0 for Apple iPhone handsets reports an article on techtree.

The main change in iTunes 8.2 is to bring support for iPhone 3.0 firmware and there is also a few bug fixes along with several accessibility enhancements.

Could the updating of iTunes to iTunes 8.2 signals that Apple is indeed preparing to announce the new iPhone 2009 at the upcoming WWDC 2009 next week? We’ll be watching WWDC 2009 to find out that’s for sure.
