Sony Ericsson Switches from M2 to MicroSD

According to a report on trusted reviews, it looks like Sony Ericsson is finally ditching the Memory Stick line and opting for the standard microSD card range, which could well signify Sony Ericsson is moving away from the proprietary roots that Sony continually champions.

Apparently Sony Ericsson has opted for microSD with their recently announced Sony Ericsson Satio, Aino and Yari smartphones and will use microSD in future handsets.

The website quotes an exec who apparently confirmed that Sony Ericsson is indeed ditching the M2 altogether in favour of the midroSD standard.
