According to engadget mobile, the mobile phone pictured is the new Sony Ericsson “Vulcan” smartphone, which you may well recognise more as the new Sony Ericsson X2.

One would presume of course the Sony Ericsson X2 will replace the Sony Ericsson Xpreia X1 at some point in the not too distant future.

The X Panel button can be made out in the image on the lower left front while a Windows key sits neatly in the upper left of the keyboard this adds to the credibility of this being the Sony Ericsson X2 as the X1 is the only device which supports it.
