iPhone 3.0 OS: How to enable tethering

Under: Apple iPhone, Phone Software
Date: June 18th, 2009

iPhone OS 3.0 is out and with it comes tethering for the iPhone, so all you need now is how to enable said tethering, and 9to5Mac has fully detailed the process.

Apparently enabling tethering only take 60 seconds but you will be required to download and mount a carrier settings file first and then option click on Restore in iTunes and restore the iPhone from the mount disk image and you should see the massage “Updating iPhone carrier settings.”

Once done hop to Settings – General – Network and the new setting for Internet Tethering should appear, simply tap it, slide Internet Tethering to On and bob’s your Uncle, job done.
