A new minor update is available for the Nokia N97, this will make the firmware version v12.2.024. The update is making its way across Europe and the USA, it is expected that in the next few days other countries will follow suit.
At this present time there is no changelog for the update but from what we have seen on a few Nokia forums, this update will offer a bigger degree of stability to the OS alongside solving minor bugs. The update can be downloaded using the Nokia Software Updater (NSU), this will force you to take that route as an Over The Air update is not yet available.
You will not need to back up your Nokia N97 as it has User Data Preservation (UDP), this means you can use the Nokia N97 Firmware v12.2.024 update. It would be a great idea to make a backup anyway just in case, you wouldn’t want to lose any important data now would you?
