RIM BlackBerry Curve 8520 Review: Recession-friendly

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 from Research In Motion sits neatly in the BlackBerry entry level range and offers up several features without putting a dent in your wallet reports t3 who have just given the BlackBerry curve 8520 a review.

Unfortunately the BlackBerry Curve 8520 shouts “average” as soon as you pick the handset up unlike the BlackBerry Bold which shouts “quality.” The BlackBerry Curve 8520 loses the chrome detailing and opts for a plastic back and rubber trim, but it does have a nice size on its side.

However a couple of feature let the BlackBerry Curve 8520 down a tad, the constant reloading and zooming can be a bit of a pain along with some dodgy rendering and of course the absence of 3G although there is WiFi. But all in all the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is a recession friendly handset with a reasonable £25 monthly tariff.

I have had this blackberry for the last 2 weeks and LOVE it!! I have had several blackberry devices and it is my favorite so far. I wanted the Bold but am on Tmobile so I would have had to use it unlocked. It would have been on Edge so the internet would not be any faster even though the Bold is capable of 3G. And there is NO way I am leaving Tmobile as they are the most solid provider I have ever had….which I have had them ALL at one point or another. I love the size over the Bold. It does everything I need it to do and have been very happy with it! If your interested…I say get it!!
