HTC Qilin is the first Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone from China Mobile’s. This is a handset that includes TD-SCDMA (China’s own 3G technology) and GSM.

Rumor has it that, the fresh smartphone will be sold as T8388 under HTC’s Dopod brand. Looking at the design the Dopod T8388 / HTC Qilin bears a resemblance to the Touch Pro2. This device is touchscreen only so does not have a QWERTY keyboard.

The HTC Qilin has the following features: Wi-Fi, 5MP camera with autofocus, 600MHz TI OMAP 3430 processor, GPS, 3.6 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, VGA front camera, and CMMB mobile TV. This phone will be released as a flagship phone by China Mobile, and it’s not hard to see why looking at these specs.
