Over the past several months there has been quite a lot of talk about Motorola going Android, and according to an article on engadget mobile, Motorola is heading for San Francisco to host an Android centric event in early September.

So could this Motorola Android even bring something new Android platform handsets to the mobile arena? We are expecting the Motorola Sholes and the Motorola Morrison as word on them is already out.

SO can Motorola bring something new to Android playtime? Their invitation states “Save the Date”, but one couldn’t be blamed for thinking they mean “Save Motorola!” Let’s hope Moto can bring something new and unexpected to wow the mobile world.
