The return rate of the blacktrack BlackBerry Tour is apparently very high mainly due to Trackball malfunctioning.

According to analyst from TownHall Investment Research, return rates for the Tour have been heading in the direction of 50%, mainly due to trackball difficulties. This is of course bad news for CDMA carriers who flagshipped the BlackBerry device.

The Tour will be getting a fix soon to the problem with the upcoming Essex by way of a new trackpad, the question being asked is quite simple really could the damage caused by the original malfunctions have been prevented.
