A few days ago Geohot pushed out the Blackra1n jailbreak for the iPhone 3GS for Windows and was quickly followed by a version for Mac, but Apple has also quickly responded in a bid to halt jailbreaking reports zdnet.
Basically Apple wants to stop jailbreaking of the iPhone and is attempting to do so by shipping new iPhone 3GS handsets with a new bootrom, iBoot-359.3.2 which resists the iPhone Dev Team’s 24kpwn exploit.
Unfortunately the iPhone Dev Team have confirmed that the iPhone’s new bootrom update does indeed make it impossible to jailbreak new iPhone handsets, well until they find a new solution that is.
