HTC & 02 strike deal to bring HTC Smart to UK

Under: Mobile Phones
Date: February 19th, 2010

A deal has been struck between 02 and HTC in order to bring to the UK the HTC Smart and apparently it’s not that far away.

The HTC Smart will be available in three lovely colours pink, black and white, its intended market will be those between the ages of 16 and 22 and would be ideal for those consumers who want a touchscreen based smartphone.

It is expected to be available either on pay as you go or a cheap contract. HTC have said that the HTC Smart is a simple entry level smartphone that will just about meet the requirements to be classified as a smartphone. It will be affordable and will be targeting the low end market across Europe and Asia.

Not a great deal is actually known about the specs we can see with the Smart, however, it has been confirmed that it will have a 2.8 inch touchscreen with QVGA resolution and a 3 megapixel camera. It will run on Qualcomm’s Brew OS, and it also uses HTC’s own Sense user interface. To find out more visit ibtimes.co.uk
