RIM show BlackBerry Bold 9700 to Korean press – Just the start

Research in Motion Canadian mobile phone maker probably best known for its business mobile device the BlackBerry have said that marketing in Korea has only just begun and its here for the long term.

With SK Telecom who are Korea’s top mobile service provider the BlackBerry Bold 9700 was introduced to Korean press yesterday along with Research in Motion.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the successor of the Bold 9000 which we have an article on here. The 9000 was a hit both in the United States and also Europe and that became available for corporate consumers in Korea in December 2008, then retail in June 2009.

With typical BlackBerry features including the Qwerty keyboard but with the new BlackBerry OS 5.0 the Bold 9700 also offers enhanced calendar and email functions. It is smaller in size than the Bold 9000 thanks to the new optical track pad that works in a similar way to a sensor on an optical mouse and that replaces the rubber trackball.
