Nexus Prime CTIA Fall Debut Postponed

Ouch, for those Android faithful that have been expecting Samsung to debut the Android Ice Cream Sandwich toting Samsung Nexus Prime at the CITA fall event, it appears you are going to be somewhat disappointed as word is the unveiling of the Nexus Prime has been postponed.

According to the guys over at Slash Gear, both “Samsung and Google have decided to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall.” And in a statement said, “We agree that it is just not the right time to announce an new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.”

The reason for the postponement of the announcement of the Samsung Nexus Prime hasn’t been confirmed; however the guys say that moving the Nexus Prime’s launch date could be to avoid the funeral of Steve Jobs, although the date for which, the Jobs family has yet to announce.

Thus it would appear that we wont be seeing the Samsung Nexus Prime at CTIA 2011, however I am sure if the delay is due to the funeral of the late Mr. Jobs, people wont mind as it is could be seen as a mark of respect. Of course this may not be the reason as they are keeping quiet as to just why the delay, but hopefully Samsung and Google will get the Nexus Prime out and about in time for the holiday purchasing season.

Although having to wait a little longer for Samsung to unveil the Android Ice Cream Sandwich Prime, I’m sure the wait wont be too long, so until then you can always check out the Nexus Prime hands-on video we posted earlier, and I’m sure more details on the device will surface before we finally get the confirmed low down.
