Ice Cream Sandwich love coming to all Asus Eee Pad range

As the Android faithful are aware the Google guys will be delivering their latest operating system that combines both smartphone and tablet operating systems into one, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and if you are an owner of an Asus Android Eee Pad tablet you might be wondering if your slate will see ICS, well the answer to that question is yes.

According to the guys over at Eurodroid all of Asus’ Eee Pad Android tablets will be feeling some Android Ice Cream Sandwich love in future as Asus has said they will update them to Google’s latest operating system.

However unfortunately Asus hasn’t actually come right out and given a find update date for Android Ice Cream Sandwich to their Eee Pad slates, which includes the Asus Eee Pad Transformer and Transformer 2.

Here’s what Asus has said, “Are you waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich? Good news for ASUS customers. Google recently announced the latest update for Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, which brings some exciting new features and capabilities. At ASUS, we pride ourselves on delivering a great experience with our products, thanks to frequent updates that further enhance our products’ capabilities. We’re delighted to confirm support for Ice Cream Sandwich on the ASUS Eee Pad Family — our aim is to bring the latest Android update to the Eee Pad Series, but at this time we are unable to set a date for its release. Please stay tuned for more news on our Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade plans.”

The guys also say that there’s a good chance the Asus Eee Pad Slider will become available in the United Kingdom sometime this week although currently retailers are not showing any stock.

So there you have it at least now if you own an Asus Eee Pad tablet or thinking of picking one up you know the device will gain Android Ice Cream sandwich at some point in the not too distant further hopefully.
