Change-log: ICS coming, get LG Optimus Black Gingerbread update

At last the LG Optimus Black in India is receiving the long-awaited Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update, Android Ice Cream Sandwich is coming soon if LG keeps to its promise, but for now it is good news that LG India has released Mr. Gingerbread.

If you visit the LG Optimus Black software update tool you should see this update sitting there waiting for you, the change-log looks fairly decent.

Change-log: The update improves power management, enhances the mobile gaming experience, and One-touch word selection and copy/paste, it also includes Improved UI to enable faster access and control and a more intuitive user experience, Better Download management, active app management, Support for new media formats such as AAC, AVC, MPEG 4 and H263, it also has shortcuts, widgets, icons, app groups, updated calendar options, camera geotagging, better email synching and more precise camera auto-focus. As well as app updates and pre-loaded Google Plus app.

Download the new LG Update tool here, all you need to do is connect your handset via your USB cable to your PC and then start the update.

    HI,
        i had updated my p970 from 2,3,4 v20b to 2,3,4 v20e. its just amazing in battery backup. it gives a battery life of two days using wifi.

    M using lg p970 optimus black…. plz plz plz….lg makers…. make ds phn android version frm 2.3.4 to ICS …its r ely need ds coz aftr upgrdng frm froyo..i think its battery lyf dcrses over 3g..battery sucks more…nd its also nt rcvng d apps frm android market means doesnt as work as xpctdly…lyk apps go launcher n magic locker…so plz make ds phn gud..so dt it wl be able to work properly…as quck as pssble makes it as an ICS update
