Android Jelly Bean update for Vodafone Nexus S delayed

If you happen to own a Samsung Nexus S handset on the Vodafone network and were expecting the latest Android operating system to hit your device soon, you might be a little disappointed to find out that the roll out of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Vodafone Nexus S has been delayed.

According to an article over on Ausdroid, by way of the Vodafone Blog, it appears that Vodafone has halted the roll out of the Android Jelly Bean update to the Samsung Nexus S in Australia due to some issues with the software.

Apparently Vodafone posted to their blog that they have been advices that the roll out of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to Australian customers has been delayed due to software issues. Apparently the software does not meet with all the Australian regulatory requirements that are related to emergency calls.

Unfortunately Vodafone does not have any information as to just when the roll out of the Android Jelly Bean update to the Vodafone Samsung Nexus S will resume; however as soon as they hear anything they will post it to their blog.

Thus for now anyway, those over in Australia that own the Samsung Nexus S on Vodafone wont be gaining Android Jelly Bean for the foreseeable future, unless of course they can get a fix done rapidly, as to be honest when it comes to emergency calls the regulatory requirements definitely need to be met. Does this Jelly Bean delay upset any of our Australian Vodafone Nexus S owners?
