The successor of the HTC One has been leaked for a number of weeks now, and besides the codename the handset was given there have been lots of different names given to the handset. Now it seems that the HTC M8 name has been confirmed thanks to some carrier listings and is as predicted.

We reported yesterday that a source close to a major UK mobile phone retailer had suggested that the upcoming device could be called the HTC One M8, and now this looks to be confirmed by some material leaked from UK carrier Three and on its coming soon page on its website, which is unconnected to our source.

Our source said that HTC were thinking of using that name as so many people already knew it as the HTC M8, and does sound better than some of the other names bounded about for the handset. Meanwhile HTC UK has tweeted the image that you can see on this page further teasing the upcoming smartphone, and earlier some pricing appeared for the handset.
