Back in September of last year we first heard about an interesting idea that would change the future of smartphone upgrading and personalization forever, and now the Phonebloks development is seen in a video.

Since it first appeared Google got involved in the idea and the Ara Project was created, and now the team has provided the YouTube video that we have embedded below that provides an update how the project is progressing.

We get to meet the team at Google working on the project as well as a look at some prototypes, and the development that uses electro magnets that keeps the modules in place. There is also a look at the Ara Configurator app that will let a user configure the Ara handset with different hardware components.
