Intex Aqua Air II arrives in India for Rs. 4,690

#

Intex has launched another mid-range handset this week in the Intex Aqua Air II. As the moniker implies, it’s the follow-up to the device of the same name that was launched late last year.

Intex is no stranger to the mid-range game as that’s generally where their bread and butter lies. While we’ve also seen several handsets from the company with plenty of pop, the Intex Aqua Air II isn’t going to be one of them as the OS is a bit dated and its specifications put it squarely into the mid-range sector.

The Intex Aqua Air II is a little hefty for its size as it measures 145.5mm x 72.8mm x 9.9mm and has a weight of 153.5grams. The plastic shell will house a 5-inch panel with a resolution of 480 x 854, and that display features “two-finger touch” along with Gorilla Glass protection. The chip powering the show is listed as a 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor which is backed by 1GB of RAM while the storage capacity clocks in at 8GB but is expandable up to 32GB.

On the backside of the Intex Aqua Air II, you’ll find a 2MP sensor while the front-facing camera is listed at 0.3MP. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, and 3G. The Dual SIM handset will sip its power from a 2,300mAh battery and will run the somewhat outdated Android 4.4 KitKat straight out of the box.

While the Intex Aqua Air II is already listed on the company’s official website, the release date has yet to be revealed. We expect that to change soon, and whenever it lands you’ll be able to pick up the Intex Aqua Air II in Grey for Rs. 4,690.
