Suicide Special Ops game arrives in a hail of bullets

#

Yesterday, we told you about a new game for the recently released Ghostbusters movie. Now we’re back with something a bit darker as the Suicide Squad Special Ops game has arrived to get folks amped up for one of the biggest events of the year.

When Batman v Superman hit screen across the globe, most folks were a little disappointed by the final result. The jumbled vision of DC’s universe took a large hit with critics and fans alike while still managing to rake in boatloads of cash. The Suicide Squad release definitely won’t go down the same way although the Suicide Squad Special Ops game may not go over nearly as well with fans.

Warner Bros. has been one of the better companies to produce tie-in games for their flicks, and they have put out a gorgeous product with the Suicide Squad Special Ops game. Graphically, it is on par with the best looking mobile games around, and the gameplay is tight as well. While it’s of the “auto-fire” variety, it’s still quite a bit of fun if you dig shooters. Sound great right? Well, not so fast…

Anyone that knows about the Suicide Squad, understands it’s a big team with somewhat of a revolving roster. Unfortunately, Warner is only giving you three members of the squad to play with and we bet you can guess one of them. Diablo and Deadshot will join Harley Quinn as the only playable members of in the game, and while Flag calls the shots from afar, we didn’t play long enough to see if he makes a cameo. Sorry Captain Boomerang fans…

If you have a high-end handset and are all-in for all things Suicide Squad, you will definitely want to check out the Suicide Squad Special Ops game. The same can be said if you enjoy mindless shooters, as there’s plenty of wave-based action to be had. That said, it is an odd decision for Warner to just release the game with three characters although one would assume an update at a later date would quickly remedy the situation.

The Suicide Special Ops game is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play if you want to give it a whirl.
