New Symbian Partner Network launched from Symbian Limited

A new partner program has been launched by Symbian Limited, the program being called Symbian Partner Network (SPN) which is to enable member collaborate more closely with the Symbian ecosystem, to innovate more easily, and also “accelerate developments with Symbian OS.”

This new program has been designed to bring maximum reward to both Symbian users and members of the Symbian Partner network by allowing companies to develop and market services and products on the Symbian platform more efficiently.

Symbian members can make use of a range of technical, marketing and business development tools and resources, including the Symbian OS Binary Access Kit, while Symbian customers will enjoy access to the highest quality ecosystem solutions.

Symbian states the key benefits of the partner program will encompass: Reduced annual membership fee of $1,500 (from $5,000)… Access to SDN++ containing the SPN Zone… Simplified sign-up process, click-through licenses and online payment system… Improved self-service technical support (wikis, forums, SPN Helpdesk)… Enhanced marketing and business development opportunities including admission to private events, such as the annual Symbian Partner Event…And early access to information such as technology roadmaps and other documentation.
