Is Apple looking at developing ARM processor for iPhones?

There is a whisper that Apple is looking at saving millions on future Apple iPhones, and is looking at developing their own version of an ARM chip to accomplish this. This whisper comes from evidence from an Apple engineer’ LinkedIn profile and seems to support this possibility.

Wei-han Lien, recently updated his LinkedIn profile and noted he’s working as “senior manager chip CPU architect,” and Wei-han Lien’s main job has been to “manage [the] ARM CPU architecture team for iPhone.”

It appears that shortly after the update, Wei-han Lien’s profile suddenly vanished from LinkedIn…I wonder why?
