DirectAssist auto-routes incoming calls while phone is in motion

Aegis Mobility have produced a new software which can detect when a mobile phone is moving at vehicle speeds and will automatically route any incoming calls direct to voicemail, and will also hold text messages until such a time that it detects that the mobile phone is no longer in motion.

How does it work? Well, Aegis Mobility’s software actually works with the mobile phones GPS and in conjunction with the network operator; there are a few features which will allow for particular numbers to continue getting through such as emergency calls, and there is a feature that allows a passenger to bypass and answer.

There is an inbound caller message which informs the caller the subscriber is driving, voicemails and texts are delivered to the mobile handset once the vehicle stops moving, and DriveAssist supports both Symbian and Windows Mobile handsets.
