TiVo has now launched a mobile website which enables customers to program their video recorders via their mobile phone. M.tico.com, the new website allows Series 2 and 3 DVR owners to schedule recordings via any internet enabled mobile handset.

VP of product marketing at TiVo, Jim Denney, says: “Whether you are standing in line at the bank or talking about a new show with friends at dinner, you can now find and record shows whenever, wherever; a perfect tool for everyone.”

The new website has been optimised for the mobile smaller screen, while non-TiVo users can visit the site to browse, search and find TV shows. This new move by TiVo extends their presence beyond the home living room into the mobile arena, and TiVo is working on an app for BlackBerry as well.
