The Palm Pre has only been out a few days but that is long enough for online repair and parts shop iFixit to grab the smartphone and rip it apart reports theregister.

Dissembling the Palm Pre the iFixit bods had good stuff to say about the webOS, replacement battery and the 3 megapixel camera but were not too impressed with the hardware keyboard and serviceability.

They say the Palm Pre is not an easy smartphone to service as there are a lot of fragile and tricky tabs which will certainly make reconstructing the handset more challenging. They also do a comparison teardown with the Apple iPhone which you can view by hitting the link.
