Android phone price cuts from Rockchip with new RK2808 chipset

Rockchip have plans to release its low-cost RK2808 chipset in October taking advantage of Android’s free nature.

Rockchip who are already a favourite among dirt cheap, plan to release its chipset onto the Chinese market claiming it would be the perfect match. In addition they are claiming the RK2808 enables additional multimedia capability over what is available in Android handsets.

If you own or have owned a cheap PMP from China you may have already heard of the rockchip processor. The Company are claiming to develop this rockchip for a lot less than the competition, it hasn’t been tested yet, but it is plainly evident that rockchip processors will be more powerful in the future.
