Official: RIM launching in September BlackBerry Desktop Manager software for MAC

The announcement from RIM has confirmed that in September this year the long awaited Blackberry Desktop Manager software for MAC will be readily available. BlackBerry users will be able to manage their handsets with Mackintosh Computers.

Its said to be similar to the Windows version, and will enable users to add / remove applications, back up smartphones automatically and manage multiple devices.

RIM have confirmed that the software will only be compatible with Mac OS 10.5.5 and above. While the iphone may have better applications and capabilities, business users still see the BlackBerry as best in its class. The software will potentially be a godsend for Mac-only small businesses.
