Has the summer been hot for mobile smartphones?
According to an article over on fixed-mobile-convergence, it has been a hot summer for smartphones, which apparently began with the launch of the Palm Pre smartphone.
Following the Palm Pre, Apple announced the iPhone 3GS an improved and faster iPhone update which was quickly followed by iPhone 3.0 that delivered numerous features.
RIM stepped up to the mark also with the introduction of the BlackBerry Tour which was the first world phone from CDMA carriers Sprint and Verizon. T-Mobile and HTC introduced the 3G Dash which was the only Windows Mobile 6.1 handset this summer, and the news of Dell entering the smartphone market via China Mobile.
