France’s consumer affairs minister meeting with Apple about iPhone problems

A senior executive from Apple Inc will be meeting France’s consumer affairs minister Herve Novelli, today to discuss issues around the popular iPhone screens, which have been reported to shatter for no obvious reason.

Stories have been reported in French newspapers recently where iPhone owners have described problems with the devices, which have been selling by the million and has helped Apple defy the Global recession.

A teenager was reported to have actually been slightly injured in one such incident, his iPhone started to make a hissing sound and then shattered. His complaints to staff at Apple’s customer services had apparently been dismissed. For further information go to reuters.com
