Like Orange and O2, Vodafone to sell iPhone as well

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Orange UK will offer the iPhone, the Daily Telegraph reports that Vodafone has also announced they too have secured the right to offer the iPhone.

Orange became the first operator to break O2’s iPhone exclusivity in Britain, and only a day after Vodafone joins the iPhone offering game and apparently only signed the deal with Apple last night..

The deal to offer the iPhone has come at the right moment for Vodafone as they were facing the prospect of losing hundreds of thousands of customers to Orange and O2, and Vodafone’s chief exec, Vittorio Colao has already stated that not having the iPhone was the main reason Vodafone lost 159,000 customers in their last quarter.
