Fairly obvious outcome really that some clever spark would quickly get round to porting Android 2.1 to the Motorola Droid, and although apparently the process isn’t quite ironed out yet they have accomplished it.

Besides, as the Nexus One packs Android 2.1 Flan OS you didn’t really think the Motorola Droid would be left standing behind did you?

One does have to warn though that should you attempt to port Android 2.1 to your Motorola Droid is could well leave you crying so it may pay to hold off until Android 2.1 Flan officially gets pushed out to the Droid.
