BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 gets torn down

Apparently a member of Crackberry Forums was experiencing a few problems with his BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 smartphone so decided to take it apart and have a tinker inside and as he did so he took several photos.

The guy does say that this particular BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 is a pre-production device and thus a number of things have changed since it was built such as screen buttons and piezo disk but everything else is basically the same.

He states that the final assemble of the screen has to be done inside the front frame as it can’t be removed without removing the back plate.

However the guys over on crackberry don’t recommend just anyone pulling apart their BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 to just see how it ticks.

  1. james killian says:

Is it clear that the 9520 has inherent generic operational problems , whether they be software or hardware based , since many people seem to have the same usage issues ….?

I know of several people that have had similatr freezing issues with teh hansdet being unable to access servers , locking out , changing server data despite removing teh battery from the handset for prolonged periods …….
Consequently , if so then the device is unfit for purpose ……??????????????
