Palm Ares SDK now available to general public

Palm’s new web based development environment, the Palm Ares SDK is now available to the public for webOS application development, and delivers mobile application development right into the browser reports an article over on techtree.

The Palm Ares SDK included an easy drag and drop interface building feature and a developer will not need any additional tools with the exception of an update of Java software. Palm Ares also features a visual debugger, source control integration, log viewer and a robust code editor.

With Palm Ares going public, anyone with a mobile application idea can begin developing that idea direct in the browser, you don’t need core level coding skills, however having them is always to your advantage.

It seems that Palm has opened the applications arena to semi-professional and amateur developers alike for developing webOS apps which could well mean numerous unpolished applications; so one wonders if Palm has boosted in any way their application approval system, guess we’ll find out sooner or later.
