Fennec showcased on Google Nexus One

The mobile browser known as Fennec has been showcased on Android devices such as Google’s Nexus One and the Motorola Droid.

This means a move in the right direction for Android handsets as they move a step closer to the web browsing promised land, as they show the Firefox mobile browser otherwise known as Fennec.

This is a incarnation of the very popular Mozilla browser which is only currently available in Nokia’s Maemo operating system which is limited to Nokia N900 users. These teasing pictures show a taster for Android users that are keen to get the Firefox experience on their smartphones.

The decision by Google to launch the Android SDK is apparently a considerable factor in the development of the browser and Mozilla chiefs also believing that any iPhone version would be blocked by the App store. Source – t3.com
