The 3rd LG Cookie phone following the LG GS500 Cookie Plus is the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh, which actually does away with 3G connectivity and drops the camera resolution, and was announced along with the LG GS500 Cookie Plus last month.

However, according to an article over on gsmarena, LG has now officially announced the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh in its own right.

Although specs resemble the original LG Cookie handset, the LG GS290 gets a downgrade on its camera to a lowly 2 megapixel but it does have the addition of a 3.5mm jack and sports a 3 inch resistive touch screen, FM radio, Bluetooth and microSD expansion.

The LG GS290 Cookie Frest is due to hit shelves in Asia and Eurpoe later this month and will be available in a range of ten colours, no word on price as yet though.
